New Dashboards, Subscribe to TMPs and Revision Reasons

The new dashboard is aimed at helping STMS’s and people submitting TMPs to better visualise the status of their TMPs and spot recent activity on TMP’s across their organisation.

You will now be able to clearly see the status of your “pending” TMPs and revisions as:

Draft
Waiting for Engineer
Waiting for RCA
Declined

Within Accepted TMPs you will be able to identify which ones are:

Pending Installation
Installed
Uninstalled

In addition we’ve added some other helpful filters showing you:

TMPs requiring attention
TMPs being Installed in the next week
TMPs finishing in the next week
Closures starting in the next wee
Closures ending in the next week

Subscribe to plans

If you want to receive an email whenever someone makes a change to a TMP you are interested in then simply “subscribe” to that TMP and we will alert you when:

A new revision is accepted
A plan is closed
A plan is re-opened
A TMP is installed
A TMP is uninstalled
Planned installation date changes
Planned un-installation date changes

Use the map to find TMPs you are interested in and click the “Subscribe” link to subscribe. You can subscribe to anyone’s TMP, even if they are from another organisation.

Revision reasons

Now when you create a revision we ask you for a reason for that revision. This is going to help the RCAs better understand why plans are being revised.

TMP Status Updates

A new feature which allows you to mark the status of your TMPs as installed or removed was added recently.

We are calling the new feature ‘Status Updates’ and it aims to provide more accurate information on current and imminent works within the TTM system. We will be able to inform the public and other stakeholders when works are actually happening, as opposed to when works are allowed to happen – which is all that customers currently see.

In addition to marking TMPs as installed or removed you can also update the planned installation and removal dates, provided they still fall within the accepted roadspace booking. This allows you to inform stakeholders of any minor changes to your schedule within the accepted dates.

e.g. If work is finishing two days ahead of schedule, update the planned removal date to reflect that. If bad weather means you are unable to start on schedule, provide the new planned installation date. If work is pausing for a period you can also remove a TMP and then install it again later.

Using the status updates feature is strongly encouraged, and particularly when you are working on a Strategic or Level 2 road. Please make use of it to provide stakeholders with the most accurate information that you can.

In a few weeks we plan to introduce a new STMS dashboard which will give you a better view of your TMPs and their status. This will build upon this ‘Status Update’ feature.

Revisions cannot be made if the TMP dates have passed

Features / Changes

A revision can only be made to a current TMP. If the TMP has expired (past the TMP end date), a revision to that TMP cannot be made and a new TMP should be created.

Bug Fixes / Optimisation

TMPs will no longer be corrupted by clicking back and forward when creating a revision.

Scripts used have been optimised to speed up the system. Small changes will occur as we upgrade the system.

Rolling Road Closures

A Rolling Road Closure is a closure that moves between point A and point B where any detour route stays unchanged throughout the entire road closure. The STMS has the ability to change the location of this road closure as it moves from point A to point B. Note the finish date cannot be changed once selected. If a change is required a new TMP is required to be submitted and gain RCA acceptance.

Staged Road Closures

A Staged Road Closure is when one or more linked road closures are submitted on a single plan and remain in position until the nominated finish date is reached, at which time the closure is removed. Each closure has its own detour, and these detours are linked to, and may change with, each staged road closure. Note you can submit multiple staged road closures but once the dates have been submitted and accepted they cannot be changed. If a change is required, a new TMP is required to be submitted and gain RCA acceptance.
